Well although my birthday festivities have come to an end I’m still treating everyday as if it were my day. I’ve found new friends, Connected with old ones and well…disposed many others at which reminds me Drake you can have your song back! “No new friends” half my new ones are replacing majority of the past ones. For the remaining end of May I chose to have a four day week-end of fun Starting with the cool crowd of Warwick which I’ll show in my SocialSaturday section. After a friend of mine offered to host a birthday dinner for myself and as many guest as I wanted, I took him up on his offer. I honestly can’t even remember the last time I was officially thrown a birthday by really…any of my friends nor even given a slice of some stale cake. Ive come to realize that
Yeah and thats pretty much the truth in a nutshell. So to my inner circle and circle of friends I want to thank you! Especially to those who sent me text messages and did a Marilyn Monroe Thats you Efrem Towns BFF
My dinner reservations were held at Churchill Restaurant off Beverly Grove
for a pretty good amount of people. Few showed many bailed and most were non existent at which they can remain. Its the little things that matter most to me and make all the difference where the rule of thumb will always be Quality over Quantity. This core group of people I truly cherish with every bit of my heart and soul. Ive put far too much energy and time into the wrong people over the years with their clubs, events, bon voyage (Bye Felicia!) and self narcissistic parties but now I know where to direct all my love to. The food was so beyond I actually helped myself to my besties, Marquees plate where he just told me I could have the rest….and I did(Didn’t have to tell me the first time). My other bestie Jessica at which I thought had a sweet tooth surprised me when the entire group sang Happy Birthday. I was in absolute sheer bliss.
I was honored to have my Angle Kerry Dyer and handsome husband there before she left on her flight to NY, London and Paris for work…Lucky broad! though of course not leaving with my gift
Burke Williams oh you holy place for a woman on edge. I think I might wait to have a girls spa day for this one since after my mother canceled her membership.
Later in the evening as we waited for possibly those who were “on their way” we made it out to DBA night club. Ive since put my partying days on hold and my Socialite Crown on a shelf but I needed to spice the night up and boy did we get Turnt up! as Lil Jonh would say…Turn down for what?!
This tall blonde Puerto Rican beauty Morgan had me on one! She made sure my glass was never empty as I deluded my drink with even more cranberry juice. Look out for her as I will be featuring her in my WowWednesday.
Now these photos I was able to take before someone stated “no photos”…oh uh uh! This ain’t the days of Les Duex on Friday nights. Either way my focus wasn’t on girls and their bare rubies it was on me myself and I and my friends.
Typically on ones birthday, club promoters have an odd and annoying tendency of sending out massive invites for a birthday girls or boys big day the only problem is….I don’t know these people?! And I doubt the other 2k do either. So I’d rather have people who are genuinely there in support. The effort was real with these folks if there was a will they made the way to be there Love you guys! Xox
The following night my boy Talon had me come out to Emerson with his boy Lil Romeo who showed up too cool for school and his shades on (I’ll never get that) but he’s cute.
Talon is one of the most Turnt up people I know. Always filming and traveling, I try my best to support his nights but boo you need to get promoted to those Hollywood Events. Leave the clubs for the rookies.
On my last night we set a chill vibe for Jazz Night at the W Hotel Sunday nights . My bestie was able to get us a nice table for myself and some girlfriends. The crowd definitely fits a Socialites world as you never know who just might be swaying to the music. We ate food had drinks and unbeknownst to us were the ABDC Jabawakis sitting right in front of our table. Now the term “Asian persuasion” definitely showed to have some truth because these guys were fresh to death!
Can’t really say it was a Start Studded Night but Jordan Sparks who looked unrecognizable and Amber Riley (both gorgeous) together with some other friends left a tad bit early. Bobby Brown on the other hand showed up at Ralph Tresvants table but unfortunately we didnt get to hear some old school jams.
Overall its has definitely been an enlightening eye opener this entire month. Would I have changed anything? Uh yeah! I would have not lost my dang keys! But I wouldn’t change the people I got to spend those special moments with so here’s a shout out to everyone who missed a spot in those memories
