Unlike many make-up gurus who tediously perform a make-up tutorial for their many followers, glorifying the effects of contouring by the illusion of a thinner nose or defined cheek bones and fuller lips, I’m occasionally given the opportunity to test out new highly perceived beauty products in order to establish a personal opinion based off my testing experience. While I prefer to have a more fresh faced appearance enhancing my natural bone structure and facial features, I won’t deny that every now and then I like to add a little bit more to my beauty regime.

Like other affiliations to my list of blogging endeavors, from time to time, I receive complimentary products allowing me to test new beauty and health products. I was sent a promotional boxes with a new leading product by Hourglass Cosmetics . Inside the box was a medium size white bottle with a beautiful copper lid. Veil Mineral Primer, a lightweight facial potion that sets and smooths your make-up or what would be considered enough, I’ve finally jumped on the bandwagon of adding primer. I had just ran out of my E.L.F pore reducer and received my free hourglass bottle just in time. I was asked to not only test out the product, but to also share my honest opinion on all my social media feeds, i.e Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, through photos and reviews.

When I had tested out this product, my initial response was that this product was like a fluff of cotton. I honestly couldn’t believe just how soft this stuff was on my skin non the less how light it was without creating any type of grease. It actually gets better than that considering it carries SPF factors, is animal cruelty-free and literally has minerals to benefit the health of your skin. Although the SPF initially appears as a residue especially for those with a bit of melanin like myself, once you blend it in, it goes on smooth into your skin.

I’ve never really understood the whole purpose of actually wearing primer, but now I completely understand the demands. This product specifically creates a bond with whatever make-up you apply. I prefer to lessen the amount of make-up I put on my face, but for what little bit that I do choose to wear, with this primer, it’s everlasting until I take it off by the end of the night. I’ve always been curious to try out different looks to create a more dramatic effect and veil mineral creates that full effect.

After sharing my honest reviews through different outlets, I came across one of users who too have tried Hourglass and come to finding out, I’ve received this product at the price of $0, but retailing for $54. I barely like to spend money on beauty products not knowing if I’ll actually get my money’s worth especially when it’s false advertised with a face of a celebrity endorsement in order to achieve product revenue, but this I probably would.

I just recently received an email showing myself to be one of the few featured examples based off the social media influences for a contest in order receive another product from Hourglass. That is a challenge I’ll definitely take.
