I’m up at 7 a.m with the idea, What the hell happened in my life, epiphany.

For weeks and days, I’ve deprived myself with chasing my dreams, the dreams you never want to wake up from, the dreams that make you feel and come alive and then it comes at a complete halt when your depictions of those dreams are altered by a way of chronic stupidity and utter bullshit acting, in other words,Creative Arts.

The acting world is just another modern day segregation of the black and white era in television and film with a few passes. As blue as we are till we say it in the face, “But it’s 20…..” oh give it a rest….ignorance is here forever! In fact, there are walking ignoramuses every day! Look there’s one now!

Yeah….apparently those still exist Smh (Not an exact ignoramus as you can see from my not so crafty two picture photo shop, but you get the picture)

For years, I’ve even as I would say, suffered from a mental illness of BDD body dysmorphic and the route is from many areas and spectrum’s of my life and childhood.  Growing up in Orange County wasn’t hard for my dark complexion, but it wasn’t easy either. In fact, I had the complete opposite of what might be perceived. I was hated by those of “My own kind” and accepted by those who weren’t. The classic “Oreo or Token”, as many would call it. So when I see what’s occurring till this day, for some odd reason, it feels like a direct hit on me reality and state of mind and disgust sets in.

Earlier yesterday a casting (if that’s what they call it) sent out by Sandi Alessi Casting, has put a really bad taste in many peoples mouths, that of the black community in majority.

Yep! Just like that, you’ve been cast for the job! And well it has motivated me to find the twinkle in my brain to write.

I don’t get it. It just becomes yet another day where I feel like I’m losing a brain cell every second to the minute in a day to where I need to gorge myself on brain food that will multiple in numbers in order to zap the stupidity that has caused such a tragedy. It’s acting….I get it…it’s a portrayal of a character that might not exist, but I don’t get that when they do tend to exist Unfortunately, that’s the bigger issue because it’s a negative portrayal that has now become a stigma and stereotype that never ceases to amaze me. We call them Rachets (Urban term) with a capital R, and in this day, they come in ALL shapes, colors and yes even races.

Case in point of a misconception.  Now with the exception of some EXTENTIONS AND WIGS, I see amazingly gorgeous women, especially the ones in the middle (Wink) but for some asinine reason it’s made to believe otherwise.

This is why at times I become annoyed when my sense of humor, which comes with sarcasm, annoyance and self release is then turned into the “Bonquisha show”. Because it ultimately becomes an ongoing joke.

Of course production and casting tried the back peddled approach to justify their “honest mistake” yeah…we get the honest part, but in terms of a mistake that you didn’t mean to offend anyone, yet you did and the mean was there.

I call Bull! Read what you clearly wrote and printed. You all did one of your five minute off beat jokes, forced vein popping laughs, high fives that were slightly missed and went on about your day in the office. Read in between your own lines. Now that’s being honest and peddling forward. At this point I don’t know what I see as worst either the smug pretentious question of “So what do you do” industry conversation starter or this. Either way, it’s well over due for a change seriously. The “tokens” need to move up to at least two to three black people on T.V and film and not speaking in couples or Tyler Perry  (No “Shade”) but in respectable roles and depictions of what we’re deprived and pulling teeth of given.

When will “you people” understand that you can’t make a cop out excuse for an excuse. A lot of the times on the other hand it is us, because we continue to give into that set idea and yet with stereotypes comes truth. Point blank. So whose to blame? Extras or not….Get it together!
